Southwest Minnesota State University invites the Marshall community to join in the excitement of Homecoming Week 2025, themed “This is Mustang Territory!” From spirited campus traditions to community-wide celebrations, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include: Mustangs Give Day of Service (Oct. 8) – Volunteer with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to support local projects. The Southwest Celebration (Oct. 10) – Honor Alumni Award recipients and campus achievements. Saturday Morning Mustang (Oct. 11) Live from Extra Innings, Join Ryan Rohlik and Kelly Loft, SMSU’s Assistant Athletic Director of Communications, for a lively hour of all things Mustang Athletics—including the latest updates, behind-the-scenes stories, and exclusive interviews with SMSU head coaches. Homecoming Parade– A new on-campus route. Game Day Roundup & Tailgate – Live music, yard games, alumni merchandise, and delicious food and drinks served by The Hitching Post. SMSU Volleyball Vs Winona State SMSU Football Vs University of Sioux Falls Johnny Holm Band Concert – Rock out after the football game on Mustang Trail! Whether you're an alum, a proud Mustang fan, or a first-time visitor, SMSU Homecoming is your chance to celebrate community, tradition, and Mustang pride.
